About us

Prantik News gives everyone true news, nothing hidden: what happened, exactly as it happened. From politics to sport, science to history, Dhaka to all 64 districts: all the news in one place.

We print in full the stories other papers cut short: factory fires, unpaid wages, crop prices, river erosion, grabbed land, police harassment. Each story is about the person it happened to, and it says plainly who is responsible.

No business group or political party owns this paper. In world news we keep a close eye on Palestine and report on the people of Gaza and the West Bank.

How news reaches us

Anyone in the place where something is happening can write to us themselves, without giving a name. We check the story, then we publish it. How we check is set out in our editorial policy.
