You don't need an account to read the news. This site has no cookies or trackers for readers.

If you send us news

• We keep only what you write and the photos you give. Your name and phone number are optional.
• A photo can carry your phone's model and the place it was taken (GPS). We remove those before storing it.
• We don't store your IP address. To stop repeated sending, we keep a code made from it for a short time. The code changes every day, and the address can't be worked out from it alone.
• Only editors can see the news and photos you send. Nothing is published until an editor publishes it.
• To have your report deleted, tell us with your receipt code.

Take care

If you are at risk, it is better not to use your own phone or your office internet. Your phone company or office can see that you visited this site, though not what you wrote. The company whose servers run the site (Cloudflare) may also keep IP addresses in its own records.
