Farmer Abul Kalam is busy harvesting paddy with his entire family in Boro Haor of Nikli upazila in Kishoreganj district. To cut costs, he has been harvesting paddy for the past week along with his wife, three sons, and minor daughter. Threshing work is now underway. He said that although the yield is good, he cannot be happy with the price. Selling paddy at this price and wondering whether anything will be left after settling debts is what concerns him.
