Construction worker electrocuted to death at government school

Construction worker Sada Mia alias Babu (35) was electrocuted to death while doing casting work at a school in Gaibandha. The accident took place on Thursday (June 5) afternoon at Padumshahar Madhyapara Government Primary School in Saghata upazila. Deceased Sada Mia was the son of Abdul Majid Bepari of Ragharpur village in Bonarpara union of the upazila. Locals said that beam casting was underway under the supervision of LGED for the construction of a new building at Padumshahar Madhyapara Government Primary School.

He died on the spot due to electrocution after the wire of a vibrator machine leaked while finishing the casting. Saghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Badsha Alam confirmed the matter and said that legal action will be taken if a complaint is received. Source: Jago News 24
